TN: 2016 Carlisle The Derivative

I really don’t know how to describe this wine except for calling it delicious. High toned aromatics with beautiful florals, extremely lithe and light on the palate, with lip smacking acidity, and a quality I guess I’d call gulpability. Really wish I’d gotten more of these.

I think you described it really well! I like this wine too.

And they get better with age. Just finished my 2012 and they were even more delicious with that little age on them.

That was my only 16 but I have a couple 15s

Sounds great. The 2010 Derivative might be the best Carlisle I have tasted.

Thanks for the note. I am looking forward to trying the 2016 vintage. We have a few remaining of each vintage going back to 2013, and I agree with Peter that they do get better with a few years of age.

I so much agree with this. Had one this past January that was fantastic. Drinking really, really well right now.
