This was modern and ripe but quite enjoyable.

1998 Château Pavie - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru (11/10/2018)
Cellared since release, perfect cork and fill. Decanted for 45 min. Forward nose of dark fruits, plum, bit of leather and earth and vanilla-y oak. Full bodied, lush ripe fruit, low acid but not flabby, long finish. Many years to go but not sure if it will develop true complexity. Definitely in the modern ripe fruit style but excellent for what it is.
