PYCM Chassagne VV

Anyone have this yet? It looks new.

Hi Michael,

I have a few bottles in the cellar. Excellent wine. My note below.

Cheers
Jeremy

The aroma is full of apple and peach fruits and a touch of smoky mineral reduction. Orchard fruit flavours lap around the gums and it has crisp acid cut. There’s good depth and intensity and it is a drink now but should be really good with a bit of complexity added by further bottle age.

Thanks, I got a decent amount of this and am glad I did.

Is this the Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Chassagne-Montrachet Les Ancegnieres or Santenay Vieilles Vignes Ceps Centenaires?

Pierre Yves Colin Morey Chassagne Montrachet Vielles Vignes

My understanding is there was so little of most of the 2016 1er Cru Chassagne parcels that PY decided to make this blend rather than release tiny quantities individually. So this will presumably be a one time thing.

Oh interesting, maybe I should’ve bought more then

Michael is this 2016 vintage release? What price did you see it?

It was $65 at kl, I could only get 3

grabbed six. Artisan Wine Depot. Smooth transaction.

I never saw that in stock on their website. I did grab one CC from them for a good price.

Presumably there must be some other non 1er Chassagne in there, or else he could’ve called it Chassagne 1er. There’s a separate ancegenieres for -6, so perhaps it’s the other parcels? I’m not sure what other parcels he has in Chassagne; is there a 16 champ gains? I haven’t seen one.
