TN: Fabien Jouves Les Agudes

Fabien Jouves Les Agudes - Vin de France (but Cahors); 2017 vintage though not allowed on the label; IIRC a weird blend not allowed on the label of Sauv Blanc and Viognier or Chenin and SB according to other sources; c.20€; 12,5% abv

This is a lovely wine. Hazy but pale colour. The blend of grapes is something I couldn’t figure out since sources say all kinds of things. But who cares. The whole is amazing. This is a phenomenal wine. The scent has the loveliest red berry and spice aromas (not of the oaky kind) coupled to vibrant juicy fruit. Oh wait! That’s a taste sensation! Oh yeah, scent and taste aren’t as separated as we’d like to think. So there’s this juicy/spicy flavour to the refreshingly acidic yet ripely fruity palate. And all the aromatic and taste sensations get mixed up into a lovely and logical whole. Whatever the grapes are, this is an incredibly delicious and harmonious whole. Buy again? Yes!!! Oh god yes. My one wish right now is that this were a magnum.
