Belle Pente offer: "Secrets of the Savvy Somms" case

Just got an email from Belle Pente. They’re offering a case they’re calling, “Secrets of the Savvy Somms” case. It’s four each of the following:

2016 Willamette Valley PN
2015 Belle Pente Vineyard PN
2014 Murto Vineyard PN

The price? $349. Uh, yes please! Anyone else buying?

Here’s the text from the email:

We’re just completing our 23rd harvest here at Belle Pente as a “free”, independent, family-owned and operated, artisan estate winery. As keen observers of the local wine scene will note, our breed is becoming increasingly rare as “merger and acquisition” mania brings more outside, and more corporate, interests into our valley every year. Equally scarce is finding replication of the core conviction encoded in the Belle Pente “DNA”: making really good wines that also deliver outstanding value. Doing so consistently, in an environmentally friendly way, as well as (or better than) anyone else in the Willamette Valley is the mission that channels our passion (and the passion that drives our mission)!

But as members of our Preferred Customer Program, most of you already know that. Many of you have been with us since our humble beginnings in the late 90s, and we are eternally grateful for your support over the years. As a reminder, we will be holding our PC-only Open House on Saturday, November 17th, from 10a to 4p. You will receive an official invitation via “snail mail” next week, and we hope to see you here!

In case you can’t make it, we are offering an “encore performance” of the wildly popular “Podium Pinot” package, with new releases of the wines that have made Belle Pente one of the top labels in great dining establishments across the country. Earlier this year we were honored with the distinction of being named the #3 Pinot Noir “brand” sold in US restaurants by Wine and Spirits Magazine. The aforementioned value proposition is one of the main reasons for this success, allowing sommeliers to offer their customers delicious, compelling wines at relatively gentle prices. In just the last month, our wines have been featured on the glass pour list and/or pairing menu at places like the Herbfarm in Woodinville and Per Se in Manhattan, as well as closer to home at Le Pigeon here in Portland. So we’re thrilled to offer this special “Sommelier’s Secrets” package with new releases of the wines that got us into “podium position”:

It’s a screaming deal (<$30/btl) on really outstanding Pinot all right.

Brian and team have released another nice case offer and also have most of 14-16 pinot’s at release price on the website. Great opportunity to grab some vintages if you missed them as I did.
