Received this bottle from Chambers about 2 weeks ago and immediately stood it up knowing I wanted to open it last night. At time of posting, they have 6 bottles of these left. For the listed price, you should maybe look at buying one.
1967 Nervi-Delsignore Gattinara
I am so happy with how well this wine has held up. Opened the bottle 6 hours pre-pouring and decanted an hour before. beautiful ruby red with far less bricking than expected. The nose is full of mushroom and earth and underlined by some pretty red fruit, and on its own the order flips on its head. Paired this wine with duck and mushroom ragu and personally i think it was a beautiful match. if you drink this wine soon, thats what you should pair it with too.
