2015 Olga Raffault Chinon Les Barnabés - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Chinon (10/17/2018)
Soft but generous fruit. Not as tannic or showing as much acid as the Picasses I’ve had but I don’t know how much of that is the vineyard and how much is the vintage. Quite lovely, exhibiting a calm, friendly charm. Quietly joyful.

Thanks for the note…never had their Barnabes label…was always interested in its style…cheers
Had the 2014 tonight at a restaurant. An excellent value for sure, definitely more acid from the crisper vintage.
Opened a 2017 last night and it was just as friendly and joyful as the 2015. Still not convinced on aging but I am convinced on drinking.
How is this priced relative to the Picasses? I’ve never seen ,or even heard of, this Barnabes label.
