Decanted 2rs. Showing well right of the gate, showing a little flesh (and flash) as the dark cherry fruit pays immediate palate dividends, additions of some well placed basalmic and iron notes only add further intrigue. Even at this early stage, the complexity is there and will only improve with time. Seems Flaccianello can very a bit in price from vintage to vintage, and catching this at $80 on release, I’m very pleased with the purchase. (94 pts.)
