2008 Domaine Heresztyn/Heresztyn-Mazzini Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Les Millandes - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey St. Denis 1er Cru (9/3/2018)
First experience with this producer. Ruby color. Nose of cherry pits, strawberry blossoms, stone, and iodine. Quite concentrated and stony out of the gate on the palate, eventually exhibiting hard but pure layers of mulberry and red raspberry fruit loaded with sweet grip and bits of iron. Copious acidity and firm tannin befitting its young age. Longer finish of rocky cherry and strawberry fruit in waves. Quite enjoyable and surprisingly open in its youth, with many years of evolution to go. (91 pts.)
