Just arrived at Kokoman, so cracked w/ Susan:

IngridGroiss Rose Hassenhaide Niederosterreich (12.5%; 70% PinotNoir/30% Zweigelt; .22% r.s.; www.Ingrid-Groiss.At) Breitenwaida 2017: Pale watermelon/salmon color; very strong juicy/strawberry/cranberry bit spicy/cinammon quite lovely bright/fragrant nose; quite tart/tangy/brisk strong strawberry/cranberry/cherry/very spicy/high toned pretty dry bit juicy very refreshing/clean/bright flavor; very long/lingering tart/tangy/brish/juicy strong strawberry/cranberry/cherry bright/zippy/high-toned/lithe finish; a very/very pretty brisk/lithe strawberry/cranberry lovely rose; should be served not too cold; one of the best roses I’ve had this year. $23.50 (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:

  1. Hassenhaide means “garden of the hares”, the vnyd where these grapes are sourced. One TN I saw mentioned the spritz in the wine. I failed to pick up any dissolved CO2 in this wine whatsoever. A very attractive new label for this wine.
