2015 Desire Lines Syrah Griffin’s Lair - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (8/24/2018)
Unmistakably Griffin’s Lair. Blackberry leaning toward plum, a bit of salty meat and a strong undertone of green olive. Fairly restrained for California Syrah. Dense and coiled. Could certainly use some time in the cellar. While a bit big and forward for me personally (while still being restrained vis-a-vis other Califnornia Syrah), this is clearly a very well made wine.
