2012 Cavatappi Winery Sangiovese Molly’s Cuvée - USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Yakima Valley (8/19/2018)
Dark ruby with red cherries on the nose. Dry with some tart tannins, medium cherry fruit, just a hint of stone fruit bitters which adds complexity. Open for several days, getting better with open time and drinking very well now. Good on it’s own, but calls for some food as an Italian syle wine should. WA Sangio is one of my favorites of the region. (92 pts.)
