2014 Antoine Jobard Bourgogne Blanc

Had one of A. Jobard’ '08 Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes about a year ago, which I found outstanding, so I purchased some of these. Tried one last night. I am notm to be clear, especially oak-sensitive (can appreciate even someone like Sauzet from time to time), but, wow, this was just over the top. (Maybe uses less good barrels for the BB?) It was a shame, as lots of other good stuff here, really nice yellow peach, but not pineapple, which I don’t like, decent acidity, and nice mid-palate weight for a BB. But wow, did that oak linger on the finish! Maybe it will absorb it in time? But if you have any of these, definitely let them rest.
