Measuring cesium in California wines

A (very) brief paper measuring Cs-137 levels in Cali cab and rosé pre- and post-Fukushima:

Dating of wines with cesium-137: Fukushima’s imprint

TLDR; there’s a detectable increase, but levels remain firmly in the “so what / who cares” range. No mention of the specific wines tested.

That’s 100/100 interesting, thank you for posting that! [cheers.gif]

Wow, 2 threads on cesium in the same day. How cool is that?!

There will probably be half as many tomorrow… [snort.gif]

That was funny

(actually about 30 years)

Well played.

He was just fission for laughs.

Is it too early to nominate this for thread of the year?

Antelope Freeway, one half mile…

Nice Firesign Theater reference there, Alan.

Bruce

It was exceedingly well done.

Post of the week, at least.

Antelope Freeway, one quarter mile…

You guys didn’t let me finish!

Which means it is in about all of the produce in the US as well.

Antelope Freeway, one eighth mile…

Your reference was so great, you didn’t need to finish…not that you ever would! [cheers.gif]

Like I said, you win the internet this month!

I’m a little depressed there are at least two guys around here depraved enough to know the reference
