Apparently there will be at least one bottle of DRC RC 45 for sale. Impeccable provenance. I guess we’ll have a new wine auction record very soon.

I’m far from a player but doesn’t 41 La Tache seem under estimated at 3-4K ?
Estimates on this sale mean nothing. They could put $1. Frankly, estimates on DRC in general, mean nothing.
I’m expecting the results to be a minimum of 2-3x’s the high estimate.
It’s great to see the picture of an authentic bottle of 1945 Romanee Conti, showing the capsule, label and the lack of a neck label. It would be interesting to compare those bottles with the fakes that Acker and Rudi were pawning off on people, just to see how close Rudi got in his counterfeiting scheme.
I don’t think that being passionate about fine wine would be enough…
