2012 Rhys Chardonnay - Alpine

My first Alpine Chard. Initially served slightly chilled, but allowed to warm up after the first pour. I thought this was kind of aromatically tight - probably should have given it some air. A light gold color with just a touch of green. On entry, the initial citrus zest kind of melts into a tongue coating lemon curd flavor that really persisted. Started catching some glimpses of stone fruits as it warmed. Very enjoyable now, but I imagine it will get better down the road. Cheers!

Rocking wine. Thanks for the note, Scott. For what it’s worth, the 2007-2009 of these I’ve drunk recently have been fantastic.
