Made from grapes from a lieu dit in Pommard, this wine is dark ruby in the glass with a powerful nose of ripe red currants with a dash of sous bois. There is ample acidity on the palate and huge flavor, with more red and dark currants as well as some brambled blackberries. The finish is smooth and enjoyable. This wine is generous and open, drinking well with great precision and purity, while at the same time feeling a bit untamed. Very nice wine, will probably gain complexity over time but I’m not sure it’ll have the same power.
