TN: 2016 Cadence Coda (USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Red Mountain)

  • 2016 Cadence Coda - USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Red Mountain (6/7/2018)
Decanted 3 hrs. Lovely nose of violets and wet clay, should see more aromatic development with age. Rather structured for the Cadence ‘Entry level’ wine, this sports some pretty dark cherry notes on a firm tannic spine. Impeccably balanced from the start though, savory, great thrust of fruit and earthy materials. Blend of equal parts merlot / cab sav / cab franc / and then a splash of petite verdot. Still the reigning champ for under $30 WA Bordeaux blends in my book. (92 pts.)

Thanks Dale. Full Pull is offering this wine today at $25 so I bit on 3.

Haven’t tried the '16 but the '15 was one of my favorite QPRs of all of last year. The '14 and '13 were great too. Shockingly serious for an entry level wine.

What a timely note with the Full Pull offer coming through! Thanks, Dale.

One of my very few automatic purchases every year. Great value.

Thanks for the note. Bought a few from FP as well. [cheers.gif]
