TN: 2007 Cristom Pinot Noir Marjorie Vineyard

  • 2007 Cristom Pinot Noir Marjorie Vineyard - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola - Amity Hills (5/19/2018)
Popped and poured. Ruby color. Funky nose of smoky plum, earth, fertilizer, pine forest, lilac. Relatively big-boned for the vintage with savory elements of dark plum, deep earth, cinnamon, and oolong tea. Oak notes crept in after 30 minutes and then left at the 2 hour mark as delicate strawberry flavors took over. Fresh acidity and serious tannin still evident. Long finish of earthy red fruit and rocky soil. Striking wine with a lot going on. (91 pts.)

Thanks for the note Doug, love Cristom but for whatever reason I never bought any 07’s - perhaps because it was such an awful vintage

Dale,

Yeah the vintage has kinda grown on me!

Cheers,
Doug

I am recent to Cristom but have tried thr 2013 Jesse, Louise and
Eiliene. All very nice. [cheers.gif]

They should age very well if this bottle was any indication.

Cheers,
Doug
