Finally finished cellar at new house 9 months after moving in…til now it was just a mess of boxes and found this along the way. This wine is now called Patriota. Old vines at 75+ years and blend of 65% Bonarda and 35% Malbec. Smells like 2000 Sociando Mallet, with cedar, leather, dried berries and currants. Palate still has fruit and offers dried flowers, leather, and dried pipe tobacco with medium+ acidity. If blinded on this there is no chance I wouldn’t call it Bordeaux. Nice surprise.
