I think I’m finally turning the corner after 20 years of this madness as I have started to delete emails without opening them and I have stopped buying from quit a few mailing list I’ve been on forever. Like others have said it feels empowering finally being in control of this addiction.

Jeremy,
I can't remember exactly, but it had something to do with Envoyer not being able to recoup their costs. So I was basically refunded Envoyer's profit.

Not only on aged wine. I purchased a new release recently that I think they DI’d. Wickedly corked. They refunded their profit on the bottle, somewhere around 20%.

I don’t think they’re hiding it, it is their policy.

Did anyone else go for the 2007 Lambrays? They have been knocking it out of the park in the last 10-15 years. The 2008 recently was remarkable. But the pricing has moved out of the reasonable range for me. this is likely my last buy.

I had picked up some 08 lambrays for about 30% less than what envoyer was asking, I think the two vintages are pretty similar.

They do say this on their website terms of sale:
EFW makes no warranty, expressed or implied, about the wine being sold except that EFW is conveying clear title to the wine and, to EFW’s knowledge, the wine is what its label describes it to be. Specifically, because wine by its nature is subject to change in the bottle over time, EFW makes no warranty or guaranty of the quality or drinkability of any wine sold and cannot be liable for bottles that are tainted by cork.

well they offered it, but I thought well, "Ohio State probably needs this money more than I need spending money for the next 20 years."

they probably used the same amount of money on some sweatpants for the basketball team or something.

After receiving a full 5 case delivery from Envoyer this shipping season, wifey has me on lock down. Once I retrieve my balls from her purse, I will resume buying, which will probably be sometime in 2020. [snort.gif]

Currently has been 4 weeks since I've purchased anything. I think this may be a record...

I have 12 full cases so far not yet shipped due to weather. Whoever is delivering it to me will HATE me.
