If you check the email header, you can find out the path and time/delay it took to reach each hop. Then you can get an idea if you are getting delayed email.

How is that 2016 price supported? Is the 2016 "special"? I had picked up some 2008s for $120, and saw some at auction recently for $80.C Chen wrote: ↑November 4th, 2018, 1:29 pmI was reminded of your K&L threads when I saw that!Mich@el Ch@ng wrote: ↑November 3rd, 2018, 1:53 pm 199 for 16 jadot csj, ouch. 2015/16 are not only considered outstanding vintages but 2016 has extremely low production.
08 is a good vintage but not highly regarded. I recently got a bottle of d’Angerville 08 fremiets for a very low price.

Sigh, no luck on the 2016 Zind Humbrecht Clos Windsbuhl Pinot Gris. Greg politely offered 2016 Zind-Humbrecht Wintzenheim Pinot Gris Rotenberg at $34.99 instead, but I passed.

I think I must have just about the entire horizontal of the '16 Aubert de Villaine. It would be fun to stick in one DRC in the blind taste lineup whenever these get opened.

They said they'll have another offer of Lafon this week, so be on watch.

If I hadn't booked a Cabo trip 10 mins before getting the offer, I would have been all in on both. Choices are tough.

I mean... you're kind of rolling the dice on a 36 year old village wine.

That's my thinking. I'm just not particularly familiar with this producer, so was more so curious about that.Mich@el Ch@ng wrote: ↑January 18th, 2019, 2:24 pm I mean... you're kind of rolling the dice on a 36 year old village wine.

83 is a solid vintage. Still holding. Looks reasonable to me if fill good. Leroy has relabeled and sold a lot of those Noellat after buying the domaine.

Re: Envoyer Thread #2: Everything else
2014 Valentini Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is $110. Previous Envoyer offers were $90 for the 2013 and $75 for the 2011.
I expect the increases are at source and not Greg's doing. Still... ouch. It's a big pass at that price.

Re: Envoyer Thread #2: Everything else
People who has received aged ex-cellar wines in the past, in what condition were the wines? Sometimes I am hesitant to request old ex-cellar wines due to lack of bottle info in their emails. What are the neck fill level, label condition, cork, etc?
TIA!
TIA!

In my experience, the quality has been excellent -- with the caveat that I'm rarely buying pre-1990s stuff.

Has anyone reported corked wines to Greg? What was your experience?
Re: Envoyer Thread #2: Everything else
I only signed up with Envoyer couple of months ago so I havent received any of my orders yet. I was just wondering for potential future orders since his emails only states vintage and producer.
