Same. Set up an account. Reply to emails.

They hold for awhile.

I just wish they wouldn't use Styrofoam due to breakage issues (so I was told). Well, I get wine from other west coast venders who use reinforced cardboard with no issues. So calling BS on that.

sorry poor prose. They tried cardboard and had breakage issues so styrofoam. Our planet is already becoming a giant landfill anyway.

envoyerfinewines.com

They'll hold wines for whatever time is needed to reach a safe window and are v flexible with arrangements; you can just call Terry (who does shipping) and figure it out with her

Their website is awful bordering on unusable. They will hold patiently. I've never had them insist, and every time I have suggested a delay they agree without difficulty. Also very responsive to email questions about shipping

For anyone who bought the Domaine Heresztyn 2011 Gevrey Clos Village in half bottle - leave them well alone. Tried one last night and it was extremely backward.

A few cellars I purchased wine on in October have been severely delayed and some of the wines never arrived. This is the first time I have had some issues with them and I also bought some stuff early summer that never arrived in the fall so they credited me. Hope this is not something I see again.

very strange. only one of my six or so orders from the last few months has arrived at this point. this is really my first shipping season that I've been ordering through Envoyer but I assumed this was just a weird shipping timing thing? is it weird for them that i have orders from June/July that havent been marked as pulled on the website?

Just a data point: I received 9 cases in October, most ordered from Nov ‘17 thru Spring/Summer ‘18. Every bottle ordered was eventually delivered.

that was kind of what i figured. it seems like the kind of operation where it may take a little time, but it (almost) always happens like they say it will

I checked recently, and the majority of my orders (French and Italian) dating back to May are on the same shipping container from Europe, arriving end of Nov/early Dec.

Problem with that is I ship to Minneapolis and weather might dictate any shipping til Spring. These cellar wines seem to work different and most of the ones I bought in the past were there quickly but not the Spanish cellar from October.

Reynard is now $300+ with CA tax. What happened to the days of $140?

Vilmart, Savart at their best levels is 50% of this craziness. A great glass of these and i could care less about Allemand anymore.

Jamet is heading here too right? Benetiere?

It’s more of a supply issue. The price of top burg is going up, as well as Barolo. Some people are choosing the northern Rhône instead. No one will argue that allemand isn’t one of the top producers in cornas. How much would it cost for the #1-2 producer in vosne, for example?

So tempted by the '14 Clos St. Denis, which is one of Jadot's best wines. Also by the '15 Grands Ech. For better or worse, I have spent way too much money on wine lately and have to let this offer pass, appealing as it is.
