Jumped all over the Huet this morning. Thus far I've tried the 2019 sec versions of LHL and Bourg. The LHL was "fine," but a bit of a letdown considering others' reports (maybe it's already shutting down? I dunno). The one Bourg I've had was corked, but I could tell beneath the TCA there is a stellar wine there. Added a handful more Bourg, and highly recommend others do the same to the extent focused, intense, and acidic Chenin is their bailiwick. flirtysmile

What do people normally recommend as the drinking window for Huet? I know it extends out for a long time, but is there an early shut down phase and how long does it usually last? I've tended to like them young, and then it gets a little surly at about 3-5 years, and I know they are good again by about age 15, but not sure when I should start to test my younger bottles. 5? 8? 10 years? (Sec and demi-sec)
