How quickly did you respond?
I wrote back 7 minutes after the email and still haven’t gotten a response. Guess that means I missed out?
Nope. As mentioned, if you don't hear back right away, that's usually a sign that you're in the running. Just takes a bit for them to confirm with the supplier.

I was really hoping I was fast enough for the 14 MSD but I should have known my 3-4 minute response wouldn't be fast enough. good price!

Anyone grab the 9 pack of Produttori today? I emailed Greg to ask if they'd be doing them individually and I think they will. hoping that the prices are similar (about $75 per) but I'm guessing what we'll see is pushing 80+ for the Rabaja, Montestefano, and Montefico and then more in line with that for the others.

I was intrigued by Trimbach's 2017 Riesling VV offer. Bought one as a flyer - still enjoying my 01 Rieslings from them.

My last Raveneau purchase from Envoyer was '10 Montmains for $135 in April 2017. Granted that was a good deal, but things sure escalated quickly.

starts at $170 for Chablis village.

ends at $600 for Blanchot and Valmur.

others in between.

I requested some 2019 Louis Michel Montee de Tonerre yesterday at the exact same number as the 2017 Raveneau ... but with the decimal point moved one spot to the left. [berserker.gif]

Yeah, I love love love Raveneau but pricing has become way too steep for me. That said, the pricing isn't *that* crazy in the context of it's peers--e.g., Roulot, Coche, Ente, Leflaive, etc. I may prefer Raveneau to any of those.

But for my money, there's just so much White Burg that I love that's <<$200/btl, and premox has given me a visceral aversion to paying more, even for producers that are largely immune like Raveneau.

I hope those quotation marks around "deal" signified irony, because $1,000 for a premier cru is not exactly a deal.

It’s not a fantastic deal but it’s a birth year wine that I want to stock up on. It’s the best value of the offer though.

Well, I paid $29.99 each for my two bottles, also from Envoyer, in July of 2019 so...

D'Oh!

Edit- this was for the Doctor, now that they've corrected the offer, it's a nice price, but no longer 33% off the 2019 price...

Is this what Dauvissat La Forest actually goes for nowadays? I love this wine, but wow, pricing has really jumped on it. And this doesn't even have the excuse of tariffs to give the benefit of the doubt to!

I’ve seen it listed for under $100 last year before. Quite the jump in prices it seems.

$160 is steep, but it is a back vintage five years out from release, and an excellent vintage at that. Not buying, but not surprised by the price. (I scored a '15 last year for $82 from a restaurant reducing inventory)

traditionally styled small domaine still run by the family as far as my email exchanges with them seemed (I was scheduled to see them a week after the lockdowns started and had to cancel). they are a great value for what you get in the bottle to be sure. there are a few previous berserker threads that are findable with nothing but good to say about them.

Not familiar with this producer. Thoughts?
traditionally styled small domaine still run by the family as far as my email exchanges with them seemed (I was scheduled to see them a week after the lockdowns started and had to cancel). they are a great value for what you get in the bottle to be sure. there are a few previous berserker threads that are findable with nothing but good to say about them.
Thanks Matt!
Cheers!

I pulled the trigger on some Droin Chablis Montee de Tonnerre, not a bad price.

So was the first digit off on that Lamy-Caillat offer? Or were these mags, lol?

I'm on the hunt for some but not at those prices...

Those were similar to the Lopa prices. Unfortunately, I think L-C has been thrust immediately into cult status. Think of it this way: the prices are far less than Roulot/Ente/Coche!

(Personally, as much as I'd like to try the wines, I'm not a buyer at these prices. I'd rather buy H. Germain/ V. Dancer/Bouchard/Jadot and others at much lower levels.)

I mean, from Chassagne alone you can get Ramonet, Bernard Moreau, and PYCM 1eres for significantly less. But I suppose the demand for such small production wines catapults the price up pretty quick.

There was a really big high priced lot of the Lamy-Caillat wines offered by a broker out of Europe. I've seen several retailers offering wines from said offer. I don't think this has established a new price floor for the wines, but we will see.
