Asked for some of the 2017 Hubert Lignier 'Plant Gilbert'. Hopefully Lignier makes the best sub $35 dollar burg too!

Visited this summer and brought back 750s of this. They had a 2009 that was singing at the tasting. I might need a Mag and 375s though too!

Nice grab on the Pontet. I tried, too, but was probably 2.5 hours late when I responded 2:35 after the email went out.

My issue is the pricing for a lot of the offers. If the dollar is so strong why are wine prices going straight up? Europe is in a recession, China’s economy is slowing dramatically and wine prices are at all time highs.

I've backed off as prices have gone up. Buying 1-2 of things where I previously may have purchased 3-6. Moved to other producers or stopped buying some things altogether. Definitely have seen appreciation in BDX, Rhone, and Germany. Not related to tariffs but local Pacific Northwest wines have seen similar increases. Luckily I went mega deep on 2015's for my child's birthyear, so my cellar is full with long term stuff and I am looking at shorter term drinkers for the most part.

I'll really start complaining when the Vilmart Rubis stops coming in at $50. champagne.gif

Were the Fourriers offered in an email? I dont think I got that one, and certainly would have been interested, depending on pricing.

Envoyer just emailed a flyer for 2014 Produttori SVDs, the same ones I purchased on pre-arrival back in March. The prices on many bottles are as much as $10 cheaper than what I paid. WTF???

It's cheaper than the pre-arrival offer I got in late April by $5 for most of the crus. I didn't purchase at the time because the pre-arrival price was actually higher than what was in-stock locally.

I got the email, but most of the 2014 cru are available here in Canada for $5-$15 more, and that's in CAD, so it's one of the few times it doesn't make sense for me to buy from Envoyer.

A few WBers tried the main '14 Produttori SVDs. Rabaja was the WOTN, with some preferring Montefico as #2. The Montestefano felt bit muddled. The Asili started off amazing on the open, power and elegance, but degraded with more time/air, taking a more candied note.

Some good wines there. The Dancer wines are tempting -- particularly the '14s -- but not tempting enough to pull the trigger.

honestly the pricing is pretty lack luster for every offer i have ever seen including this one. certainly no deals...definitely don't understand the hype with shopping here? regarding the dancer, the '15 perrieres retailed $150 directly through paris wine co, so this pricing is definitely not sharp at all.
