2012 Paul-Henri Thillardon Chénas Les Carrières - France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Chénas (3/18/2018)
Medium garnet color. Nose of plum blossom, blackberry, earth, and floral elements. Layers of pulpy strawberry and red plum fruit on the palate mixed with plenty of anchoring earth and stone. Late appearing hints of banana. Plenty of acidity balancing still-firm tannin, leading to a medium-length finish of red and purple fruit coupled with earthy slow grip. Tasted quite delicious and still young. Could evolve favorably for years yet. (90 pts.)
