TN: 2012 Yvon Métras Moulin-à-Vent (France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Moulin-à-Vent)

Seems I like this one more than other notes on CT. Or I caught a real good bottle at a good time.
Or I’m just a Metras fan-boy.

Pours a cloudy, hazy red. Somewhat edgy, like va at first, but it quickly dissipates. Brigh, razor edge red fruit, cranberry, sour cherry, and earth tones. With air, the nose picks up tertiary scents of fall and wet leaves. There’s something natural and primal to Metras wines I find appealing. Softens and rounds off even more with air and become quite lovely. No regrets here. Drinking great.
