UGC reports anyone?

Are any WBers going to the UGC tastings of 2015 bordeaux, and reporting back with some notes?

I attended the UGC tonight in Boston. No detailed notes, but I’ll call out some highlights and disappointments,. The stars, for me, were Leoville Barton, Pichon Lalande, Domaine de Chevalier, Haut-Bailly, and Lagrange. Wines that didn’t show as well included Pichon Baron (extremely closed and unexpressive; tasted twice with consistent notes), Gruaud-Larose, and Langoa Barton. Everything else I either didn’t taste or fell someplace in the middle. I also didn’t taste many right bank wines as the selection on these was more limited. Overall, it seems like a strong vintage but some wines are definitely stronger than others.

Well thanks for reminding me! I think it must be sold out in LA, I found last year’s to be informative.

The UGC tasting in SF will be this coming Thursday. Going to try and sample as much as I can from Pomerol/St Em
