Ever seen labels like this on a DRC?

I can’t figure out what has happened to this bottle other than that the labels may have been re-pasted at some point. Seems a bit odd?

Cellar got wet causing labels to migrate. Extensive ullage too! Pass.

Bottles of 83 in good condition aren’t that exciting,
One in that condition would be a waste of money

Looks like it’s come from a damp cellar, yes, though no real signs of mould or any other damage so I’d be on the suspicious side. On the other hand the level looks fine - I wouldn’t be concerned about that, it’s what I would expect at this age.

Sometimes when I take a wine from the icebucket

Yes, in that era the glues were different. Labels easily soaked off and could slide. So dampness or an ice bucket seem plausible.

Rudy was drunk that night when he created this one?

Wish I did see some DRC labels. [cry.gif]

Yes, Rudy was drunk the afternoon he made that one.
