TN: 2012 Littorai Pinot Noir Platt Vineyard (USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast)

  • 2012 Littorai Pinot Noir Platt Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (11/18/2017)
PnP. Dark red in color, with some spicy aroma. Medium-light mouthfeel with cherries, red fruit. Medium finish with some acidity, and good balance.

This followed a Mount Eden PN, and I liked it a bit more than the first wine. I should have decanted as this continued to open up in the glass over dinner. This drank relatively young, so I might hold this for a few more years to improve the complexity. (92 pts.)

Thanks for the check in. 2012 was my first year on the list, so I don’t have much data.

Glad to hear that Littorai is still killing it. Haven’t bought in a few years, mainly just do to cut backs. I do have an 02 Savoy and 02 One Acre that will be consumed over the holidays. Had the 96 One Acre last year but I let that one age too long.
