I got together with friends last night and pulled a pair of Joguets to share. Both were showing extremely well and showed great quality, even better than a recent 1996 Raffault Picasses, though the 1996 Varennes seems to have more life left in it than the 1997 Dioterie.

1996 Charles Joguet Chinon Les Varennes du Grand Clos - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Chinon (10/13/2017)
A little darker and more herbal than the 1997 Dioterie, and with better structure holding it together, really impressive. (93 pts.) -
1997 Charles Joguet Chinon Clos de la Dioterie - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Chinon (10/13/2017)
Surprisingly vibrant fruit with a little fresh vine and habanero and a bit of ash, it is drinking incredibly well. (93 pts.)
