I think patience is the key with these wines. Both in shipping & in the cellar. With only one man running the show, there’s a lot of work. I would expect that he’s working as fast as he can and weather plays a factor in shipping too. Maybe waiting for the spring is better when it’s not so cold?

I've seen enough from this thread to know I will never try buying these wines direct from producer.

That's too bad...John has been very supportive to others on the list I know. He's small...and it shows in times like this.

If he's too small to communicate with his customers, or ship on time, then I'm out. I've played that game before, and I don't like it. I hate it when wine "just arrives out of nowhere." The normal weather in my locality means a day in the back of a hot truck can do a wine in, let alone a couple days, or a weekend in a facility that may or may not be temperature controlled ...

Still waiting on mine. Don’t really mind as long as they eventually show up.

Last year, I didn't receive my 2014's until the end of February . . . I think I was the last to receive them. I had absolutely no problem with that. It's not like you're going to drink them anytime soon. John said his wines usually show best starting around the 8-10 year point. And he did keep me in the loop about delivery via email. (In fact, he personally delivered them to my home . . . now that's service!)

I did text John a few weeks ago since we will be out of town...and he indicated early April which works for me here in Chicagoland...

Cheers,
JP

Leonard,

I would contact John. Not sure whether shipping is by region or not, but I received mine some time ago.

Best,

Mike

Email response from John: I'll resume shipping east in early April (when temperatures in the Rockies reliably moderate).

I am hoping so! When I called a few weeks back his outgoing message said shipping east would commence on April 2nd.
