TN: 2005 Hudelot-Noellat Suchots

I Hudelot about 05s drinking well but maybe this wine or my cold cellar conspired against the murmurs of drinkability. Dark-fruited with good texture, the wine has super density but tannins rush in midpalate and dominate. There’s a nice bitter bite at the finish and the wine is balanced. But it screams for 10 more years. H-N makes one of the better Suchots.

Ten more years?? Not sure I can wait that long…

I keep mine at 60 degrees in the hope that it will speed up aging somewhat…
