Hebrart is a good producer, not sure I've had that specific bottling, though.

From the 2019 Terry Theise Champagne Catalog (which I thankfully had saved on my phone since it's no longer available on the Skurnik site);

Marc Hebrart may not be the "best" grower in Champagne, but no one is better.

and about the BdB specifically;

The very best "NV Blanc de Blanc" in this portfolio, challenged only by the best editions of Peters. It's 60% 2015 (and is entirely without grassiness), 25% '14 and 15% '13 - it's 12% from Oiry/Chouilly (Grand Cru) with the balanced from Mareuil [sur Ay] (ought to be Grand Cru!), deg. 9/2018

We purchased some on last offer and it is fantastic.

It's a very good deal on a highly recommended wine.

Any comments on the NV Diebolt Vallois BdB brut. I’m always intrigued by 375s but want things better than daily drinkers.

To me, it's the epitome of a daily drinker. Doesn't strike above its price point, IMO. Others may disagree.

What do people think of today’s Hebrart BdB 1er NV? $35 is a great price, but I’ve never had this wine.
I asked for 6. Screaming good QPR.

Ok. For better or worse, just bought 6 x 375's of the NV Diebolt Vallois BdB brut from Envoyer. Very much looking forward to tasting them.

I've been dipping my toes (ok, not the best visual, but all I have at this moment) more and more in the champagne area, and figure this is another great way to explore.

Thanks to all.

I think it’s fantastic, one of the better growers in the cdb. Whether it’s a daily drinker really depends on your taste/cellar.

Anyone know anything about the 2008 Rigot-Caillez Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut that was just offered? It sounds interesting, and I might take a flier on a couple...

I haven't. Mostly going from Cellartracker notes (the producer not this vintage), 11 years on the lees, low dosage, and 2008.

i had an 02 fleury this past week - and enjoyed it quite a lot. considering the up in quality and vintage, this seems worth a try.

I haven't done much buying lately, but bit on a couple of the 2002 Drappier Réserve de l'Oenothèque. I think it's like the Carte d'Or with 20 years on the lees.

This one made me chuckle. It's quite interesting that a Champagne from 2002 could have spent 20 years on it's lees. I'm guessing 15-16 tops. [wink.gif]

Dethune Rosé is back; $10 more than it used to be, but still a great wine at $49.99. I'm not sure of the base year.

The first email had the wrong price. It's an even better deal at $44.99. This is one champagne I buy every time it's offered.
