OTBN Wine dinner last night.

Had a great time last night with some great wines.
We were celebrating Open That Bottle Night. Dinner for eight of us.
We started the evening a bit out of order but got back on track quickly.
Jack, the host started with a 2004 Langoa Barton. Good start!
We then moved on to Rob’s 2014 CDP (Should have had that first)

Then we had the two that I brought and after some debating, decided to go with the
2009 Cantermerle first.
That went over very well.
Then my 2nd bottle was a 2010 3rd wine of Chateau Montrose.
Le-Saint Estephe de Montrose.
Figuring the power that comes from that region would be better 2nd.
Both very nice.
Eric who visits France quite often brought a 1995 Pomerol Chateau Haut Maillet
Also very nice!

All in all a night that makes you want to do it all over again soon.

Cheers [cheers.gif]
The star of the evening was the Renieri 2010 Brunello Di Montalcino Riserva.
Jacks brother brought a Magnum and Jack had a regular bottle.
Hands down an outstanding wine and the best of the night.
Suckling gave it a 100.
WS a 96

After that, Jack went an grabbed one more bottle and that was a
2010 Chateau Malescot St Exupery
Also very nice.

Great night and the wines were almost as good as the company.

The lineup.
I forgot the Banfi Brunello.
Wasn’t anywhere close to the Renieri.
