One of my very first case purchases was the 1971 of this one–after reading your TN, I checked CT re the '71, although mine are long gone, and it appears it’s still a pleasure to drink. Wonderful longevity for these things! If I can keep from too precipitously opening my assortment of '01 Sauternes/Barsacs, I should have something very pleasant to drink down the road in my dotage.
The 2001s are so good now. If we keep all of our wine forever, we will never get to drink it.
