Anyone a fan of the 15` Kirkland Barolo from Langhe- $20? I read a few comments from March above, but seems a couple of folks are not liking it.

Ran into a winemaker friend in Costco and he raved about it and suggested I get some. I noticed he had 6 bottles in his cart. Went over to find it and discovered it was gone and when I asked if they had more, a lady, who had taken the last 3 bottles, overheard me and offered me one. How nice. Yet to try, but the tip is from a knowledgeable source.
Thanks for the tip; picked some of these up today from North Scottsdale
How was the selection at North Scottsdale. Was thinking about taking a drive up there

Nothing too special worth making a trip for. I was hoping for a bit more given what others are seeing at their stores on here

Nice little find in W Plano.

2015 Louis Michel MdT $33.99
I went Thursday and got 3 of these I’m almost positive these were $27.00 down in Duncanville
Man that’s a great deal!
Trash day, I found that receipt-I didn’t think there was this much pricing disparity for locations relatively close together?
*I’m so old now they just key in xx-xx-xxxx for my dob

Has anyone tried the 2015 Cucco - Barolo (Serralunga)? Worth a $40 spend?
I’ve got the 2013 but haven’t tried it yet, so no help.

Denver Costco - Park meadows just put the 2016 Chateau Cos d’Estournel on sale for $129. I bought the last three (besides the display) and they gave me the OWC. Nice little bonus!
I just got my Costco card and checked out Arvada - wasn't great. Is Park Meadows generally solid?
I would say yes; it’s solid but not a ton of variety. Not sure if it would be worth the trip this far south, especially since Applejacks is so close to Arvada. Park Meadows has some top tier wine (First growth Bordeaux, Sassicaia etc) then mostly California cab and Bordeaux, the variety falls off quickly after than.

I'm actually by 6th and Colorado, so far from both ha! I do make trips out to Applejack occasionally and the Park Meadows Costco is about as far as the Arvada one, so I'll check it out as well.

To clarify, is it 15.99 for 1 salmon burger or 1 pallet of salmon burgers? Gotta love Costco!

Looking to find a Costco in Florida that has a good wine selection. I shop at 3 different Costcos near Orlando and never see any of the wines mentioned in this thread. The store at Millenia has a little better selection, but for the most part we get Kirkland wines and what I would call grocery store wines. I am willing to drive if there is a Florida Costco wine department worth the trip. Any recs?
Hi Patrick -
Welcome to the board! There are different regions within the country for Costco's wine program, each with a separate buyer, and here in Florida, it SUCKS compared to what many on this board post from other areas. I stop in the Boca Costco a few times a month, and while sure I may find a decent rioja or chianti at a good price, I can't ever recall seeing any of the gems that people regularly post about in this thread. Sounds like our store is a step better than yours, but not worth a 3 hour drive.
I also go to the one in Boca and sometimes they have something different; like a Caymus or Insignia (very rare). The Don Melchor is one I always find and has a good deal. A friend told me that a store in Doral has Sassicaia and top french stuff. I wish we had a way to know it; I would drive down to Doral for a good deal on geat wine.

No typo! champagne.gif My costco has had it for a few months for around $169 or so (to be honest, I bought one at this price). Then I happened to see the mark down on my monthly run. I couldn’t believe it and had to pull the trigger; I’m still filling a fairly new cellar. Did a little dance in the parking lot.

The Danville Costco has the 2008 Roederer Cristal for $229.99, for those in the Bay Area. There is one bottle behind the glass, so i have no idea how many are in stock.

Pricing is not the issue as much as the lack of quality/selection. Decent deals on what they have. Just wish some of the wines people post about here made it to our market.

My local Costco didn't have the 2016 Chateau Cos d’Estournel, but I did pick up a 2016 Chateau Fonroque for around $36 and a Costco branded RRV chardonnay for around $13.

My view is that the 08 Cristal needs a bit of time to tame the acidity. 08 Dom is starting to shut down a bit.

2016 Cos d’Estournel $169.99 at Omaha Costco. Not a big Bordeaux fan but bought a few to put down to see what a 100 point Bordeaux is all about.

Cameron Hughes Lot 704 Carneros Pinot Noir for about $13 at Naperville Rt. 59 store is a nice cellar defender. It's in a big style, but a great deal at the price point. I wonder if CH is going to start having a lot of stuff at Costco again?

The best selection is the Costco in North Miami on US 1.
I regularly shop at the Davie location which rarely has anything special.

How's the selection at the Naperville store? Been to any others in the area? Schaumburg and Algonquin seem week on selection/price.

Cameron Hughes Lot 704 Carneros Pinot Noir for about $13 at Naperville Rt. 59 store is a nice cellar defender. It's in a big style, but a great deal at the price point. I wonder if CH is going to start having a lot of stuff at Costco again?

The Naperville store is pretty weak. Mostly mass-production stuff. There is very occasionally something (other than daily drinkers) worth getting, but its rare. I usually pick up patio wines there. I've heard the Oak Brook store has better stuff, but I've never stopped there.

Oak brook used to have great stuff, but seems the new buyer is mailing it in. Large selection in oak brook but very little interesting.

In my far off retirement I will try and get the Costco wine buying job

Costco in Doral? On Flagler? If so, I don't mind going to check it out. Only a 20 min drive or so for me. Happy to let you know what's there. If not that Costco, let me know the store name. Always looking for good places to find wine.

I still haven't made it down there, but managed to snag the last 2015 Nervi Gattinara for $25 at the Total Wine on Colorado Blvd. That made me happy.

Anyone in south Florida ever find any good deals?
The best selection is the Costco in North Miami on US 1.
I regularly shop at the Davie location which rarely has anything special.
The Boca Costco have today Almaviva 2014 for $89

It was the one on Flagler... This guy told me about it last year; he had since moved away from the area.

Of the several Costcos I’ve recently been to in the past couple of weeks, they’ve all had the ‘08 Dom P for $159.99. Guess that’s the new normal.....🤔
