Grabbed both the '17 Kirkland Premiere Cru Chablis (19.99) and '16 Caparzo Rosso di Montalcino (14.99) at the Atwater/Los Feliz Costco. Both were pretty darn satisfying for their price points. I saw the Kirkland Gigondas there as well and may pick it up next time.
Chablis was decent, maybe not 'premiere cru' level but at 19.99 no complaints. White flowers, green apple, steely, mineral. Caparzo was an easy cheap Sangio, blackberry, cherry, tobacco, earth. Good daily drinkers.

The 2010 Caparzo Rosso was really good too. I hardly ever buy rosso's but would definitely drink that again off a list, wine bar or what not.

My local Costco is still keeping some of the 2008 Cristal in their will call secure area. Every damn time I shop, I pass that window, look into that small room and see the damn yellow plastic wrapped bottles staring back at me. I've walked past the window the past few months but I think one more is gonna go home with me here soon.
My best wines for 2020:
2014 Marie Courtin Champagne Efflorescence Extra Brut
2012 Minière F & R Champagne Influence Brut
2008 Rhys Skyline PN SCM
2015 Ulysse Collin Champagne Les Pierrières
2014 Laherte Frères Champagne BdB EB Les Grands Crayeres

Kindness matters. Dignity matters. Accountability matters. Respect matters. LEADERSHIP MATTERS!

I really enjoyed the Gigondas (for 15 bucks).

Our Atlanta area Costco had a good bit of '15 Haut-Bages Liberal last time I was in. 39.99 I think.

#471 had these

16 Caparzo Rosso $15
16 Nozzole CCR $15
16 Neive Barbaresco $29
17 Lions de Suidaraut halves $11
17 Beringer PR Chardonnay $24

Is that Beringer a good deal? I've liked other vintages

My local Costco is still keeping some of the 2008 Cristal in their will call secure area. Every damn time I shop, I pass that window, look into that small room and see the damn yellow plastic wrapped bottles staring back at me. I've walked past the window the past few months but I think one more is gonna go home with me here soon.
just remember if you upgrade your membership its 2% back on that wine... so its really $4 cheaper than what they have it listed at!

Tulsa - all 19.99/bottle
2015 Kirkland Signature Barolo - bought several bottles. Think this is the first Barolo from Kirkland. Tried and I think it is very good buy. Seems like pretty pure Nebbiolo with little to no oak that I can detect. Will admit I have had pretty limited Barolo/Barbaresco tasting experience

2009? Weird! I wonder what the provenance is though - looks like 2017 is the current release. Also not sure if it's really my style these days either, but a heck of a deal if there's nothing wrong with it regardless.

Frequently, the Kirkland Signature wines from outside the U.S. include some clue on the bottle as to the producer. (For example, their Chianti Classico Riserva states that it is "bottled by" Villa Cafaggio, their Champagne is bottled by Janisson, etc.). Can you tell by looking at the small print on the bottle where it may have been produced, or who "bottled it" for them? If it's even decent Nebbiolo, that's a good deal. My worry would be that it's too heavily oaked, a common problem with Kirkland Signature wines, although there are plenty of exceptions.

Bottom of front label says Italia - Serralunga d'Alba. Back says bottled by ICQRF CN/7874, imported by Ethica Wines, Stamford, CT 14% alcohol. Bottle has raised letters "Albeisa". Ah, this might be more of a clue, the paper ring at the foil cap says "Simone Tablino".

FWIW - Top of the front label says Suckling rated it 92

Think the Kirkland Barolo might be associated with Fontanafredda. Sounds like Simone Tablino is a lab tech there and when I did a search for CN/7874 it brought up Fontanafredda's website. Makes sense as Costco seems to often carry Fontanfredda Barolo.

2009? Weird! I wonder what the provenance is though - looks like 2017 is the current release. Also not sure if it's really my style these days either, but a heck of a deal if there's nothing wrong with it regardless.
I bought 5, hard to pass up that deal.
What location?
Tigard Oregon. Near Portland, 94361 is the costco product id

More confirmation on Kirkland Barolo- has a pic of a building on front and in very small letters says "Villa Reale in Serralunga". Googled that and it also appears to be associated with Fontanafredda.

Does anyone here shop at the NOLA Costco?
My daughter goes to Tulane and shops there regularly (she's 21 and can buy wine). I stop in when I'm in town - pretty terrible selection any time I've been there.

Good sleuthing! I enjoy Fontanafredda as an inexpensive, consistent, slightly over-oaked, but early/easy drinking Barolo. I'll be scouring my local Costco stores hoping this one shows up. If it's essentially the same juice as their Serralunga Barolo bottling, that's a great price!
