I haven’t seen this mentioned here in awhile. I stumbled onto Antica years ago and liked it enough to buy a six pack. But it has been years since I’ve had it and decided it was time to revisit. What a great aperitif this is. When you are in the mood for something different, this really fits the niche.
Makes a dang good Manhattan.
… and an even better Negroni!
Yes, it does!
and it’s awesome on the rocks as well
That’s how I usually do it, though it does make for a swank cocktail ingredient.
Definitely my favorite sweet vermouth for cocktails. On the rocks with an orange twist is a great aperitif, too.
A little rocks, a twist of lemon and I’m so happy. The Carpano Blanco is also tasty.
Fantastic vermouth, one of the few that I like to drink unmixed.
I like all of the above, but during the summer, we switch out Gin in our Negroni and add club soda and ice in a high ball glass for a refreshing and tasty cocktail.
That’s an Americano Diane, quite delicious I agree.
That is correct, Russell, but it seems few Americans know it.
I was delivered a coffee when asking for one in a cocktail bar in the Carribean a few years ago.
This happened to my husband just the other day at a bar where a I ordered a cocktail, French 75, and he was given a coffee. So bizarre given the environment.
