How many US Cabernet Sauvignon producers are represented in your cellar?

Can’t believe this hasn’t been asked yet with the Burgundy and Bordeaux threads started recently.

Despite selling 4 cases of Cab earlier this year including all the Dominus, I still have 30 different brands in the cellar.

How about you?

  1. EMH, Lewlling, Seaver, Jaffe Estate, and Cameron Hughes.

I think 5: Monte Bello, Detert, Pott, Mayacamas, Dehlinger. Couple bottles of fringe wines like Arnot-Roberts and Ceritas. Total number outside of Monte Bello is probably case and a half.

This is the widest value category I have also - as low as H3, Columbia Crest, and Rutherford Ranch; extending all the way up to Maybach Materium, Paul Hobbs Beckstoffer To-Kalon, and Lokoya Mt. Veeder and Diamond Mountain; plus all price points in between.

The sad part is for all the Cab I have, I still keep searching for more.

Hello, my name is Dennis and I’m a Caboholic. blush

Many , Many more than Bordeaux !

If you’re including Bordeaux blends that include cabernet, 64. Lots of single bottles courtesy of Acme’s Under the Radar program.

Not many. Ridge, RM, schrader, chapellet, Heitz, étude, a few other random bottles. Ridge only one of any quantity. Just not buying much cab lately.

Same as Russell : 4

-Dominus (1991 and 1994)
-Beringer Priv. Res. (1994)
-Opus One (1997)
-Mondavi Cab. Sauv. Res. (1997)

Edit. Sorry, I forgot Opus is Mondavi.

So it’s 3 diff. producers.

Way less than Bordeaux
Way more than Burgundy

21 are 2 bottles or less though

I’ll buy very little 14 and 15’s. Probably only from 5 producers or so.

But if I had “6 or more bottles” as my cut-off it drops to 9
