Ramonet and Truchot

Had dinner with friends Saturday night. We started with a Ramonet 2009 CM Vergers. Still a lovely wine but perhaps not as exhuberant as it was a year or so ago. Don’t seem like it is getting too old. Seems more like shutting down to re-emerge better than ever, but in today’s white Burgundy world, who knows. With the main course, we had a 2002 and 2005 Truchot CM Sentiers. The 2002 was absolutely beautiful. I am finding a lot of 2002s drinking really well right now, esp. from Truchot. Loved it. The 2005 was a richer denser wine and, while impressive, still need at least five years to really be a Truchot wine.

Nice line-up - thanks for sharing!

Got the Ramonet at a very good price from you Warren. Thanks.

The 2005 Truchot MSD VV was delicious in April. Still ages to go, but I could drink it all day.

I have a bunch of 2005 Truchots and am thrilled that I have them. However, this Sentiers, while very drinkable right now, is still quite primary and needs time to show its stuff.
