2008 Ramey Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard - USA, California, Napa / Sonoma, Carneros (4/20/2016)
From magnum, just shipped from the winery a few weeks ago, this was in prime form. Lemon cream, spice, tangerine zest and vanilla aromas carried through on a bright yet rich palate where the spice really kicked in on the finish. Incredibly fresh from large format, this has time in hand. I am not a huge proponent of California Chardonnay, but Ramey Hyde Vineyard is a truly exceptional wine.
