I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with Uber in the Howell Mountain.
Is it reliable or should I be looking into a local cab service?
Please help with suggestions.
Visiting O’Shaughnessy and Outpost.
I’ve never been to Outpost but I’d imagine an Uber would have a hard time navigating all the way to the winery at O’Shaugnessy. Maybe they’d pick you up on White Cottage Rd but that’s maybe a 2 mile walk from the winery and not flat terrain.
It’s my understanding that Uber and Lyft are available in the Northern part of Napa Valley during the day, but you may have some wait time. After 8PM upvalley has little or no coverage by Uber or Lyft. Uber has been trying to get more coverage there.
I would suggest a personal driver or “buy” the driver you get from Uber or Lyft to start with. Make it worth their while, they’ll make themselves available to you via cell phone.

I’ve used über in Napa and once when we’d be out late and I inquired about getting picked up later our uber driver said it was hard to get a ride later at night and just gave me his cell number. I texted him when we were about ready to need him to go home and he picked us up. Tip a bit more helps lol.
