Please save the date! The final 2014 vintage Futures offering featuring the wines of Bearwallow Vineyard will be coming up Tuesday, March 22nd. We are particularly excited to be offering our first ever Bearwallow Chardonnay, a wine that we think will be an instant hit with fans of our Alpine and Horseshoe Chardonnays.

This offering is intended to allow our customers to secure larger formats, such as magnums and 3 liters, as well as full case quantities of standard 750mL bottles.

In addition, this Futures offering will include the opportunity to purchase the Rhys 2014 Chardonnay sampler pack in case quantities of 375 and 500mL formats. These sampler packs will contain 4 bottles each of our Alpine, Horseshoe and Bearwallow Chardonnays. These small format bottles will be shipped with the regular orders this fall.

This will be the first year for Bearwallow chardonnay. Has anyone tried it or the others by chance? The PN has one professional review in CT.

First world problems, but I really wish they weren’t offering a Bearwallow Chard. I love Bearwallow Pinot, and am also a huge fan of the Alpine and Horseshoe Chards. I already buy about as much of the Chards as I can, and am not really in the mood to take on more, which means I’ll likely just start ordering less of the Alpine and Horseshoe to take on the Bearwallow.

Doesn’t this seem like a blatant commercial post to you? It is basically printing out the private email from the winery. If that is not commercial, I don’t know what is.

People do it all the time. Usually trying to provide information about the offering. In their mind being helpful. Seeing as this post/thread is about the upcoming offer, I’d consider it material.

I don’t see anything about the post to make me think the winery was behind the post. If they were, THAT would make it spamy…

Greg has it right. People post about winery offerings all the time. If you had not noticed then you were not paying attention.

Greg and David, yes, in fact I took the time to put these pieces together so readers would be informed. I have done this before and the response usually is “what are the prices?” Maybe not obvious, but I have nothing to gain from this post other than knowing if anyone has tried the chard so I can buy some.

Nevertheless, we reserve our right to outrage.

Well I saw “Redwood City” (aka “Bay Area”) and thought you were affiliated with Rhys instead of merely being on the cheerleading squad. I like Rhys too, but don’t appreciate this place used for commercial posts, although I guess it does happen all the time.

How is it commercial if it is not from someone ITB?

I love the 500 ml bottles. That’s my go-to on the futures offering.

I too would be interested in input from anyone that has tasted the Bearwallow Chardonnay. Would be curious how it compares to the others.

I’d also be interested in hearing about the Bearwallow Ch.
I probably won’t participate in this offering except possibly for the sampler pack. I’m simply not a fan of AV PNs. After 10 years of buying several producers and finding that they don’t age in a way that I can appreciate it is time for me to spend my cash on PNs from other places.

Come on, that’s not Rhys, that’s the Magic Castle at Disneyland!
