Trying to get some more experience with Zinfandel, so picked up a Juvenile, Kirschenmann and Rattlesnake Ridge. First time on their list too. What does everyone else usually pick up from Turley?

2010 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon
2015 Realm Cellars Absurd

Uh, OK, maybe for some.

Dear Brian,

Sharpen your corkscrews and gussy up your glassware, ‘cause we’re gearing up for the spring release of the 2014 vintage wines! You’ll receive your offer the week of January 25th and, as always, the sooner you place your order the more likely you are to receive all the wines you want. Interested in more of a particular wine, or want to try one you don’t see in your offer? Use the “Request Additional” and, if available, we’ll gladly include the requested bottles in your shipment. The pick-up parties are scheduled for April 2nd in Paso and April 16st in Amador; members $25 per person, guests $35. You will be prompted to RSVP once you’ve placed your order.

We hope you’re as excited about the upcoming release as we are. As always, we’re here for you whenever you need us at mailinglist@turleywinecellars.com or 805-434-1030 if you have any questions.

Thank you for being a part of the family.

Old Vines Young Love,
Turley Wine Cellars

I got the "Week of the 25th email." Nothing yet telling me to go online and order, but I went online, and it is up.

Strange mix of wines I am not offered, some of which I've bought in the past. And of late, I've never gotten any wishes, even though locals can go to winery and purchase.

Paul, Similar reactions here. Last spring I was offered at least 1 of everything, but not this time (no Bedrock, no SB, no 101, no Sadie Upton, no Turley Estate PS)? I've bought everything they have offered as well as extras from the winery so it feels like a bit of a slap in the face.

I have been on the list a long time so my allocation is now guaranteed for 10 days.
Was notified like others but I have not gotten the e-mail that the offer is open.

Assume low production when there is not an allocation. Wish list what you might want.

If you miss 3 or 4 offers they will email you and ask if you want to remain on the list or if you want them to remove you.

I always wishlist (this time 2 SB, 2 Sadie, 2 extra Kirschenmann) but they are surprisingly stingy (even with Juvenile and OV) so I only expect to get 1 of each, if that.

I like the freedom I have in the spring Turley release, because I'm not married to any one wine. I usually get a few here and there, but this time I grabbed Kirschenmann and Mead Ranch because they are always gone by the time I decide what I want, and I've never had either before.

In the fall I have a running vertical of Ueberroth and Pesenti.

In the past I have really liked the Rattlesnake Ridge Zin (I have the PS but have never tried it) and the Dusi. The juvenile is great for the price too. Better for me than anything I can buy locally at that price point.
Quickly, bring me a beaker of wine, so that I may wet my mind and say something clever. - Aristophanes

This is only my second or third order from them, so my allocation is very small (6 Juvi, 1 each of a handful of others). I took four Juvis, a Dusi and a Duarte.

The value is good - it's nice to get six bottles from a great winery for well under $200 all in.

Order in - only picked 2 bottles (Dragon and Rattlesnake zins) as I have no room and about 45 zins in my cellar already.

I also wishlisted the Sadie Upton and the Vineyard 101 (one each). Have never seen these before and the tasting notes seemed up my alley.

Extras are being awarded but they've been very stingy with giving me anything, but happy with 2 extra Kirschenmann. Got no wish list items from wines they didn't offer me, even though the same wines were offered to me last year. It's as if they know that I don't have room to store the wines anyway. [cheers.gif]

Being cost-conscious this mailer season, but definitely in for a few Juvi. QPR all day.
