2002 R. López de Heredia Rioja Reserva Viña Tondonia - Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja (11/15/2015)
Beautiful cherry fruit with spice and a little bit of wood makes for an uncharacteristicly luscious Lopez wine. Drinks very well now, but plenty of depth for aging.

Nice note, thanks. Happy to have a few of these in the cellar where they’ll stay for a few years. I think this a pretty good value relatively speaking.
I love this wine and find it irresistible now compared to the '01 & '03. I wonder if the reservas benefit from difficult vintages when no gran reservas are made.
