  • 2008 Alain Hudelot-Noellat Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru (7/21/2015)
    Immediately you notice earth and some barnyard on the nose. On the palate there is red fruit, good minerality, finely balanced. With time the barnyard dissipates and reveals a prominent spice nose. It increasingly becomes smoother and more luscious over the evening. Not a closed 08 and definitely room for improvement.

one of the best Suchots IMO,
haven’t tasted beyond 06 w H-N. Price has sure escalated, though.

Suchot seems to be relatively steady in the last 4-5 years.

paid $55 for 06. Newer vintages are double.

I bought 12 in 2006, 6 in 2010 and 3 in 2012… Not sure I spent much less for the 2012…
