Any opinions on this wine? I’ve really enjoyed cab/syrah blends in the past and was wondering about this one.
I picked up a couple based on really enjoying 2006 version. Opened one early this year, and impression is it was way too early, and not as good as 2006, but still a solid wine. I’m holding my other bottle of 2010 for a long time, especially since I still have a couple of the 2006.
I also recently tasted K’s 2012 The Creator, which I’d rate on par if not better. Bigger more open style than Ptera, same price point. Another favorite Cab/Syrah is Buty’s Columbia Rediviva though I haven’t tasted recent release on that one.
