Don't think, just answer.

Are you an ABV level reader?

No.

Troll

Nope.

Yes. 1-2 points matters to me, it matters to how my body responds to the alcohol. It affects the texture of the wine.

And why is this a troll? We can’t talk about alcohol in wine? [scratch.gif]

Yes, but I don’t have a cutoff number.

No.

What’s on the bottle is far from reliable, and how the actual ABV level relates to perception is a weak correlation.

I will typically only look if I perceive the wine to be hot.

Yes. If accompanied by too much oak.

I usually look just out of interest and curiosity. I’m not Parrian about the number in the least.

No.

Almost never.

No…I’m below average.

Yes, but it is just one of many things that matter, both because of the frequent imprecision of the amount on the label and because it can present in different ways. I only tend to mention it a TN if (1) I actually look at the label before I write the note and (2) it seems noteworthy.

If I fall down after three glasses, I want to know what ABV kicks my a$$.

No. Unless it seems like an issue after I taste the wine.

Yes! and if it does not have ETOH I do not drink it

Yeah, I read the whole label. Front and back!

Michael

Yes. Mostly just when buying from a producer I have never had.

I find it a useful, though imperfect indicator.
